Lloyd’s Register celebrates World Quality Day every year and this year wasn’t any different. With the theme of ‘Everyday Leadership’, Lloyd’s Register’s local management team hosted a coffee and cake morning to raise money for ‘Children in Need’. Quality means a lot to Lloyd’s Register and it has been the foundation of its management systems business success for more than 30 years.
With leadership being a new requirement in ISO 9001:2015, our management team wanted to celebrate and congratulate our employees for their hard work and dedication helping clients with their transition to the new standard. David Derrick, UK and Ireland’s Area Operations Manager comments, “organisations that reap the greatest rewards from achieving ISO 9001:2015 are those with forward-thinking leadership.
By recognising the potential of the new standard, they are tapping into a powerful tool that elevates not just quality standards, but increases the overall success of their business.
“World Quality Day’s ‘Everyday Leadership’ theme enabled us to recognise that all our employees display leadership behaviours – from our client-facing teams who use our unique assessment methodology to take organisations’ management systems from compliance to performance, to our internal teams who take care of our client’s needs and requirements,” David continued.
Lloyd’s Register raised more than £115 for Children in Need who work throughout the year to ensure that every child in the UK has a safe, happy and secure childhood, and the chance to reach their full potential.
