LRQA can support you during your transition journey by offering you a gap analysis visit against ISO 14001:2015.
A gap analysis enables you to understand where your environmental management system sits in terms of compliance to ISO 14001:2015 and what remedial action – if any – needs to be taken. Much of your existing system will no doubt meet large parts of the new standard so you will not be starting from scratch.
Preparing for an ISO 14001:2015 gap analysis visit
In advance of the gap analysis visit, you should familiarise yourself with the new and changed requirements within ISO 14001:2015. During the visit an LRQA assessor will determine your understanding of the new requirements and their implications on your environmental management system and hence your organisations readiness to complete the transition successfully.
ISO 14001:2015 gap analysis . . . at a glance
LRQA’s ISO 14001:2015 gap analysis assessment examines and reports on your management systems’ readiness for transition.
It focuses on how your environmental management system has addressed, or plans to address, the changes introduced through the publication of ISO 14001:2015. Based upon the findings, your assessor will advise whether your organisation is ‘likely, partially likely or unlikely’ to meet the new standard requirements.
This visit gives you the opportunity to discuss any concerns you may have about your transition journey and your environmental management systems’ readiness for certification to ISO 14001:2015, or the assessment process.
