Corporate travel agent, Reed & Mackay, has achieved certification to ISO 22301:2012, the business continuity management system standard with LRQA to help ensure continuity of service to its client base in the event of service disruption.
Reed & Mackay has a clear investment programme to ensure that its service continues to innovate around client needs, and that this service is protected in the unlikely event they have a serious interruption affecting its ability to maintain operations from key locations.
Led by Suzanne Elmore, Head of Governance, Risk Management & Compliance, the certification was achieved by Reed & Mackay in an 11 month period. Suzanne comments: “The certification process has been a highly valuable exercise, putting rigour around actionable plans, creating a focus around systems that enable us to be more agile with our response and building a foundation through which we are now able to regularly conduct testing in order to further refine our plans”.
This sentiment was echoed by Chief Executive, Andy Hibbert: “We are delighted to have been successful in obtaining certification against ISO 22301. With external factors potentially able to impact the business, it was vital that we implemented a strategy that ensured we could mitigate service disruption to our clients. In gaining the certification, we hope to further demonstrate to our clients our commitment to maintaining our highest levels of service in the event circumstances should require either a temporary or permanent relocation of our key operational teams”.
