Steelhenge achieves ISO 22301 certification

Specialist business continuity and crisis management planning, training and exercising company, Steelhenge announces that its Business Continuity Management System (BCMS) has been successfully certified to the international Standard in Business Continuity Management, ISO 22301 with LRQA.

Certified in May, Steelhenge became the first UK consultancy to have been certified to both BS 25999-2 and ISO 22301 having successfully undertaken the transition mechanism. This means Steelhenge is experienced in establishing a full Business Continuity Management System in line with ISO 22301 but also in understanding and effecting what is required to transition from BS 25999-2 (the British Standard in Business Continuity Management) to the International Standard that superseded it.

Steelhenge Operations Director, Isobel Nicholas, comments: "We are delighted to have achieved certification to ISO 22301, particularly without any non-conformities. The BCM team at Steelhenge deserve real credit for their expertise and commitment. Being certified to ISO 22301 demonstrates not only our own business continuity arrangements as a supplier of business continuity and crisis management planning services to clients internationally, it also reflects our competence in implementing the requirements of the International Standard. It shows that we take our specialism very seriously and helps us set a precedence for BCMS both in the UK and abroad."

Mike Richards, LRQA Account Manager said: "We congratulate Steelhenge on successfully transitioning their certified BCMS from BS 25999-2 to ISO 22301. Having a robust business continuity system demonstrates that Steelhenge has considered its risks and put appropriate controls in place to ensure minimum disruption to its business in the event of an incident. We look forward to working with them regularly during the mandatory annual cycle of continuous assessment visits (CAV) and three-yearly re-certification audits."
