LRQA recently presented Morrison Utility Services with a Statement of Verification to FDIS/ISO 9001:2015 and FDIS/ISO 14001:2015. By developing a management system working culture, Morrison Utility Services found it possible to become one of the first organisations to be presented with this award. The final standards are due for publication this month.
The transition assessment was carried out by Assessment Services Capability Development Manager, Richard Crute Morris and Technical Manager, Judith Turner.
Presenting these awards to Charles Morrison (CEO), Jim Arnold (COO) and Peter Zelenovic (Group SHEQ Manager) at their Head Office, LRQA representative, Richard Crute Morris paid tribute to their achievement "Morrison Utility Services is very fortunate to be a business that embraces change and improvement. This culture has enabled such an early adoption of the new standards."
Richard continues, "Obtaining the transitional verification is a milestone in the progression and development of the systems and processes that Morrison Utility Services has embraced to drive improvement within this business"

The transition assessment was hosted by Peter Zelenovic and Paddy Newton from Morrison Utility Services. They were able to provide all the information needed to address the changes and enhanced elements of the new standards, specifically Context of Organisation – what are we here to do, Leadership – how does top management drive and interact with the business systems, Planning – how does this all fit together and Performance – the measures and key performance indicators.
