LRQA presents at Business Continuity Management Conference
On 16 July, LRQA spoke on 'BS 25999 Implementation and Certification Issues' at the 3rd Annual Business Continuity Management Conference organised by British Standards in London.
Accompanying Denis Ives (LRQA UK & Ireland Manager) was Richard Baldwin (Director of Link Associates) who was invited by LRQA to co-present the Business Continuity (BC) case study, so providing a fully balanced client and certification body experience on the topic.
LINK was LRQA's first client to be certificated to BS 25999:2 and the co-presentation technique proved highly successful. Extremely well received, the audience quizzed Denis and Richard enthusiastically in a long Q&A session afterwards as well as in the foyer where, as event sponsor, LRQA had a stand.
Denis Ives commented, "In April, the BC Expo event was commercial in terms of delegate demographics, while this one had a high level of attendance from the public sector, showing yet again the real interest and pick up of this key new standard, across all industry sectors".
