Lloyd’s Register sponsored the Institute of Collaborative Working’s (ICW), ‘Collaborative Working in Aerospace’ seminar on Thursday October 12th, 2017 at RAF Hendon in London.
David Derrick, LRQA’s UK and Ireland Area Operations Manager, was invited to speak and introduce Lloyd’s Register, an organisation which is wholly owned by the Lloyd’s Register Foundation, a UK charity dedicated to research and education in science and engineering.
The Lloyd’s Register Foundation helps to protect life and property and support education, engineering-related research and public engagement. Their vision is to be known worldwide as a leading supporter of engineering-related research, training and education – relevant to the field of engineering which makes a real difference in improving the safety of the critical infrastructure that is vital to modern society.
David Derrick also spoke about the benefits that collaboration between aerospace organisations can bring, not only to individual organisations but across UK aerospace industry as a whole. By working collaboratively together, organisations can share best practice and new innovations, making them more competitive with other global supply chains.
