Brian Baron |
Brian combines experience in Quality and Health & Safety management to provide customers such as Coca Cola and BAE Systems with auditor training that focuses on the their individual needs and expectations. He has a background in food processing companies, including Jacobs Bakery Ltd and Global Food International (Schwartz Spices), as Quality and Health and Safety Manager gives Brian the practical experience necessary to ensure his training events address key issues. As one of LRQA’s OHSAS18001 Lead Assessors Brian provides customers with a real insight into the design, implementation and auditing of health & safety management systems and risk analysis. Risk Analysis can be learned in open courses, but the most effective way to learn the techniques and apply them in your organisation is through in-company training, leading to an OHSAS system that support your business goals.

Albert Fessey |
A very experienced trainer and consultant in a former life, Albert brings the best out in participants in training courses using a variety of methods to ensure training is engaging and effective. Customers such as DHL Finance, Trillium and Transco have all benefited from his coaching and facilitation skills that have contributed to the effective development of their Quality Management systems and Internal Auditing. Albert’s knowledge and skills in the quality arena stem from his early experiences in the foundry industry as an instructor and developed them further in and around the midlands with Mercia Training Limited as a Training & Quality Advisor. With Mercia he helped organisations towards ISO9001 certification in a variety of industries. Denise Holland |

When it comes to environmental management systems Denise can ensure the requirements are demystified. As a graduate of Coventry and Staffordshire Universities Denise quickly put her knowledge into practice implementing environmental management systems with Du Pont. Working as a consultant with CEL International she was instrumental in organisations implementing effective environmental management systems through to certification. With LRQA Denise has provided bespoke training to organisations such as BNFL, Atkins and Unilever designing events that are both stimulating and practical. With trends moving towards Integrated Management systems, Denise has been providing combined auditing courses, balancing Environmental and Health & Safety Management.

Momcilo Kovacevic |

Momcilo has spent many years working as a consultant for Bywater and for himself designing and implementing quality management systems. His business management background and qualifications were developed at Oxford Instruments where he worked first as an engineer and later as Business Improvement Manager. As an EFQM Excellence Assessor his outlook stretches well beyond the requirements for standards based management systems to firmly rooting management systems in business. Momcilo is passionate about training and finds in-company training particularly satisfying. He says “in company training provides real immediate benefits as it is aligned to the organisations specific needs leading to effective implementation of learning and a higher return on investment”.

Cheryl Savage |
Cheryl joined LRQA in August 2007 and is a Lead Assessor and IRCA qualified Lead tutor for both Quality and Environmental Management Systems. She is a qualified trainer and associate member of the Chartered Institute of Personnel Development (CIPD).
Prior to joining LRQA Cheryl has been a training manager for three other certification bodies and has been actively involved in the growth of their training divisions in the UK from design/development through to the delivery of training. Her primary role is to support clients who wish to develop a programme of training and require a technical expert to identify their training needs and where applicable design and deliver the required training.

Tim Dove |
Tim is one of our longest serving Client Trainers, joining LRQA in 1991 as a Lead Assessor of quality management systems and extended his role into Client Training in 1995.
Prior to joining LRQA Tim held key roles with Avon Industrial Polymers Limited, British Gas, CIFER and Westinghouse Brake and Signal Company.
Building on his qualifications and prior experience Tim has developed his management systems and assessor experience to include ISO 14001 and OHSAS 18001. Tim has been instrumental in the development of our OHSAS 18001: 2007 transition training workshops. With this combination of skills, experience and competence, Tim can offer clients the benefit of his expertise in these key subjects, and when delivering training ensures the interaction and relationships between quality, environmental and OH&S management are addressed in a practical manner based an in the context of the client organisation.
Tim has developed and delivers public courses and In-company programmes and for a wide range of LRQA clients including BP Oil UK Ltd, BAE Systems Ltd, Lafarge Cement UK, Pall Europe Ltd, BT and Carillion URS.
Tim is a qualified trained and an associate of the Chartered Institute of Personnel Development (CIPD) a proven ability to present complex issues and information in a clear and concise manner. He has delivered training in countries including Jordan, Dubai, Hong Kong, China, Finland and Italy. Drawing upon this experience Tim can broaden discussions as appropriate beyond UK boundaries, to the benefit of course attendees.

Sarah Jones |
Sarah joined LRQA in March 2004 as a Trainer in Environmental Management Systems (ISO 14001). Sarah is also a qualified IRCA registered Lead Assessor for ISO 14001.
Prior to joining LRQA Sarah was a Hazardous Waste Officer and an Environmental Protection Officer with the Environment Agency. She also held the posts of an Environmental Protection Trainer and an Energy and Environmental Advisor with the Ministry of Defence (MOD). During her time with the MOD Sarah project managed the implementation and maintenance of all elements of a RAF stations Environmental Management System.
Since joining LRQA, Sarah has successfully achieved her Certificate in Training Practice, which is the recognised qualification for training professionals. In addition
Sarah is a Graduate member of the Chartered Institution of Water and Environmental Management (CIWEM), an Associate member of the Institute of Environmental Management and Assessment (IEMA) and a Member of the Institute of Training and Occupational Learning (ITOL).
Using her experience and training skills Sarah has designed, developed and delivered training courses for a wide variety of clients across various industry sectors |

Manny Gillespie |
Manny joined LRQA in 1990 initially as a Lead Assessor of quality management systems.
In 1997, he joined LRQA Training as a Trainer whilst continuing to be a
Management Systems Lead Assessor. He has a practical hands-on approach to training
as well as a supportive style which encourages and supports learning.
Manny has designed, developed and delivered a wide range of quality related courses.
And he has been actively involved in developing specific training programmes for our
clients from small businesses through to international organisations.
Manny’s background prior to LRQA is Royal Air Force, GEC Avery and Horstmanns,
holding positions within design and development engineer to quality engineer through
to head of quality.
Manny is a qualified trainer, registered lead auditor with IRCA, a member of the
Chartered Quality Institute (CQI) and an associate of the Chartered Institute of
Personnel Development
(CIPD). |

Dave Sherring – Trainer Manager |
David graduated with a first class CNAA honours degree in Food Science from South Bank Polytechnic in 1985. His other qualifications include a CIPD Certificate in Training Practice, a CNAA Diploma in Management Studies and a RIPH Advanced Certificate in HACCP Principles. He is an IRCA registered QMS Lead Auditor and FSMS Auditor. He is a Member of the Institute of Food Science and Technology and a Member of the Institute of Training and Occupational Learning.
Having worked in the food manufacturing sector for Unilever, Northern Foods, Dalgety Meat Products and Nutricia (Cow and Gate) in both production and technical management roles, his industrial experience includes meat processing, chilled and frozen ready meal processing, and aseptic processing of baby food in glass (pasteurisation and sterilisation).
He has been employed by LRQA as a Trainer and Management Systems Lead Assessor since 1992. In that time he has assessed many firms in many countries, covering a variety of sectors, for example, forensic science, army training schools, cosmetics manufacturing, dairy products and brewing. He has assessed management systems against ISO 9001, ISO 22000 and the BRC Global Food Standard.
Since 1993 he has also designed and delivered training programmes (including IRCA registered courses) on auditing and implementation of ISO 9001 and HACCP, and more recently ISO 22000 and PAS 99. His training clients include AWE, UK Army, Morrisons, Beachcroft LLP, Jones Lang LaSalle, Dairy Crest and BAE Systems. |

Doug Hodson – Management System Trainer |
Doug joined LRQA in 2008 as a Management System Trainer. Prior to joining LRQA Doug held senior positions within PricewaterhouseCoopers as Head of ISMS Implementation and as Senior Tutor in a certification body.
Doug started his auditing career in a division of General Motors where his responsibilities included auditing and developing existing, and potential suppliers, Doug moved in 1991 for the first time into a certification body as a trainer and client manager. Building on his auditing and training experiences Doug moved into a role as Training Manager and consultant, during this period Doug implemented twelve ISO 9001 quality management systems which all gained third party certification. |
