Risk management maturity
Most leading organisations acknowledge risk management as a professional discipline and use dedicated personnel to manage their risk management process. In the last few years a number of risk management tools have become available and papers on the subject published. However, until recently there was an absence of published standards or models for risk management, this meant that some organisations may have developed a risk management approach that focuses purely on the ”risk mechanics”, which could lead to unnecessary exposure to risks that have not been effectively managed or identified.
Lloyd's Register has many years experience of helping clients manage high risk operations and activities. It has used this knowledge to develop a unique diagnostic service for the evaluation of risk management maturity and the integration of the risk management approach with management systems. We call this LRQA RM3
How can LRQA's RM3 benefit you?
If your organisation has implemented a risk management approach and needs independent assurance of how effective it is, then LRQA's RM3 will provide the analysis and data for you to better understand whether your risk management approach is sufficiently mature and robust to meet business requirements.
RM3 evaluation can be tailored to meet your organisation's specific requirements. It will also provide the basis for organisational benchmarking and improvement.
RM3 does not rely on prescriptive processes. It bases the evaluation on the organisation's overall risk management approach using diagnostic tools, analysis and data synthesis.
